Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mixed feelings These seem to be well made. There are two two pins on each clip which actually poke through the film. This allows them to hold securely, but there will be two small puncture holes on either end of your film. I was a bit concerned at first, but it hasn't been a problem for me. One thing that I do find to be a bit annoying is the hooks are a too shallow and come off the wire I hang them from too easily. I've had them slide off the wire when inspecting the film a few times. I selected, No, I would not recommend this to a friend. That doesn't mean these are bad clips, just not enough to recommend over other clips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great for 120 Film These are the best for 120 film, since they don't bend the negatives, and use two small pins instead. The film is allowed to flex as it dries, and eventually straightens out. The hooks fit nicely over a normal shower curtain hook, where I let them dry in a home bathroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The jaws that bite, the claws that catch As others have pointed out, each of these clips has two sharp pins that cut two holes on the film leader and hang on. As noted, one clip is heavier than the other for use on the bottom. This is a well-made, thoughtfully designed product. The input of folks who actually use stuff like it is evident. I previously bought a bag full of a rival product from B&H (Delta 1 Stainless Steel Film Clips (Pack of 10)). While adequate to the job of holding the film while it dried, the rival clips had several sharp edges that were easily capable of scratching the film. Though these rough edges were not on the part of the clip that normally comes into contact with the film, it did not seem to me to be a good idea to have sharp edges that remain exposed (unlike the pins on these clips) when they are this close to the film. I taped some of the rough edges on that other product with gaffer tape, but that was frankly ridiculous. So I gave these a try. I'm glad I did. As sometimes happens, you get what you pay for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pokes holes in your film. In case that bothers you. Definitely holds film. Provides a good weight to prevent curling. I didn't realize it used pins to hold the film, I thought it was just a clamp. It punches two tiny holes in the film, but it does hold it absolutely firm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made. Simple. Bought a second pair, I liked the first so much. One clip is lightweight for hanging, the other has a weight which keeps the negatives from curling. I like that there are small pins that go through the ends of the film to prevent the negatives from slipping out of the clip.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total Trash Look... Don't buy anything made by Patterson. It's all garbage. Overpriced and under-performing. This is a great case in point. NOBODY needs these things.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality and would purchase again. These are much better than the flimsy metal hooks I am accustomed to. I purchased two sets and will be purchasing more in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great clips Just what I needed. I was using unweighted clips for a white and my film would bow. These clips keep the film nice and flat.
