The ClearSonic Lid System is designed to substantially reduce sound that would normally escape upwards and is especially helpful in spaces with high ceilings.
The S2466 is a 66 x 24 x 1/6" (L x W x D) center section SORBER panel, constructed from fiberglass and covered in a dark gray, heavy-duty "car-trunk" cloth. The panel functions both as a redirector and an absorber of acoustic energy. To complete the lid system, SL7266 or SL8466 LidPac systems are required or, it can be used as a component of SBT66 bass traps.
The Lid System is not designed to be airtight. It is recommended that openings be left on either side of the lid panels to allow for air circulation. It has a Class-A fire rating.
