Paramount 17B6C overview

  • 1Description

This heavy duty, coiled Paramount sync cord provides the necessary connection between any flash with a female PC (post connection) receptor, and a camera, sync extension, or triggering device that has a female PC (post connection) terminal. This cord extends from 21" to 5'.

Straight cords are lighter, and usually more economical than coiled cords; coiled cords stretch when necessary, and are more heavy duty than straight cords.

Premium sync cords have gold-plated ends, for longer lasting sure connections.

Paramount 17B6C reviews

PC Male to PC Male Cord is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great Connects my old Mamiya to my flash triggers perfectly. I only wish I'd been able to find a short version of the cable with a regular PC on one end and a screwlock on the other (for the radio triggers), but this one fits tight enough that I don't worry about it coming off, even without the screwlock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice cord Very well made. Stays attached to strobe and camera very well, even though it does not have threaded connectors. Stretches out easily, but retains its coil shape well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good PC cord for flash held off camera. Have a camera that has no shoe mount and requires a sync cord with both PC male in order to use a old Nikon SB-16 Speedlight Flash attached to both ends. Had bought one similar Paramount cord for my Rolleiflex TLR but one PC end especially made for TLR Rolleiflex cameras. The products from Paramount are excellent and well made for secure connection. Will highly recommended it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy duty Bought this cable to connect my radio triggers with pc sync to my 580exii. Works great so far. I was pleasantly surprised by the tough quality. Coiled cable keeps it tight or you can stretch it out as needed. It is one of those cables that attaches so securely you feel like something might break when pull it out! (no problems so far!)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great I needed a long cord to trigger my speedlite from a handheld light meter. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it didn't connect direct. I had to buy another PC Male to PC Male cord to connect it. With the additinal cord, it worked prefectly well, and I had plenty of reach.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Old Tech Still Works Bought this for use with an electronic flash on a Crown Graphic and a Nikon F4s with a bad hotshoe. What can I say? It works. The only problem is when used in cold temperatures (I live in northern Canada). It functions just fine, but the coils lose most of their flexibility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it should. Bought this to connect a flash to my Mamiya C33 and it works perfectly. Can't say much more than that. I like that it's coiled and I might buy a longer one next time.
