Would this tent work outside in sunlight, or will the edges cast shadows?
The Impact Digital Light Shed - Large (18 x 18 x 27.5") can be used outside and will not cast shadows as long as the sun is bright enough.

Would this work for taking photos of hats on a mannequin?
I don't think so because of inadequate over head clearance, but if your hats were beanies or berets it might just work.

Am I missing something? The tent only appears to have 2 zippered openings, 1 in the front and 1 on top, opposite the removable bottom. The small tent has more openings. Please tell me if I am just not seeing something. Than you.
I haven't being using this box for years but it's still on a cabinet for an emergency. I'm using a built plexiglas with led lighting.
I don't know why would you need more openings. If it's to have more access to product/subject and it's really needed, I'd just cut and glue some Velcro strips.
