question

I am from qatar. My question is whether the mentioned voltage will work in Middle east ?
Asked by: MAHENDRAN N.
According to an online search, the voltage used in Qatar is between 220-240V. As such, the Impact One Monolight Kit (220VAC) would be compatible for use in your country. Do note you may need a country plug adapter to convert the plug to the one used in your region, but yes, the system would be compatible for your needs.

question

Can this unit accept 110V Bulbs? Dose it have a built in step down transformer - 220V to 110V? In other words - use it in countries with 220-240V power / electricity, but with 110V bulbs?
Asked by: Chanake S.
If using this light in a 220/240V environment, it is best to use a modeling lamp suitable for that voltage. This monolight is not multi-voltage, therefore it cannot convert the voltage on a 110V lamp.

question

I have a Pentax K3II and a Sigma 610 DG Super flash. I want to know how to do to be able to connect a flash strobe kit through a radio trigger. Which ones would be compatible for my K3II in order to be able to make the strobes functional and, if possible, also to use the Sigma? What do you recommend buying in addition to this kit?
Asked by: Mariano R.
I would recommend purchasing the Vello FreeWave LR Kit with 2 Receivers, B&H # VERFWLRK, for your usage needs. The Impact Two Monolight Kit (220V), B&H # IMEX100A2LKX, has a 1/8 (3.5mm) miniphone sync terminal on the rear of the strobe monolight. The Vello FreeWave LR Kit comes with a miniphone to miniphone cable, so you may connect the Vello FreeWave LR receiver to the Impact monolight. The receiver also has a hot shoe on the top of the unit, onto which you may mount the Sigma EF 610 DG Super Flash. As the kit I listed above comes with two receivers, you may connect one receiver to the Sigma EF 610 DG Super Flash, and one to one of the monolights in the Impact monolight kit. As the Impact monolights have built-in optical slaves, the unit without the Vello receiver will trigger when it sees the light output from the light fixture with the receiver. Do note the output of the Sigma EF 610 DG Super Flash will have to be set manually when using this setup. There is no option that will work and retain TTL automatic flash capability with this setup.

Is there a way to turn off the beeping noise when you take a photo?
Asked by: Sami
The sound indicator does not turn off. It looks like you are inquiring about the 220 volt European version of this product. For use in the USA, please select BH# IMEX100AK (no X at the end).

question

Hi, which exactly is the Mini to PC Synch Cord? Could you send me a link?I have a canon 650D and i'm not pretty sure if i can manage these lights from my camera.Thanks.
Asked by: Anonymous
A mini to PC sync cord would allow a camera with a sync terminal to be connected to these lights. Please see the following link for an example of the cable: http://bhpho.to/1qtaQvJ. As for use with the Canon 650D, you would need a hotshoe to PC sync adapter to use these monolights. Please see the link for the adapter: http://bhpho.to/1jT4Cko

question

I have a Mark lll and cactus triggers. what else do I need to make this set up work?
Asked by: Tricia M.
If you have the Cactus V5 triggers, there is the CA-350 3.5mm cable which is already included with the V5 unit and will connect to the Impact EX100A monolights. You would put the other V5 unit on your Canon 5D Mark III to trigger the flash. If you have the Cactus V6 trigger, the cord is not included but we do offer the Pocket Wizard MM1 which will work the same as a Cactus CA-350 cable. Please see the link to the cable: http://bhpho.to/18i4ISt
