While the Patterson Auto Load reel is a pretty universal reel size Im not sure I would use it in a different tank system. Because its adjustable it might change or self adjust while being inverted in the tank and then the film could unspool. Best to use with the same kind of tank. That said you could do a test roll and then see if it holds and doesn't release the film while processing. I would not do that with a roll of work images until I had tested.
