Cavision MB413B2-DVX Overview

The Cavision 4x4 Bellows Matte Box Kit for DVX-100 and XL2 features 15mm carbon rod support and a french flag. This model comes with a 72mm adapter for the Panasonic DVX-100 and Canon XL2. Matte Boxes control light better than a regular lens shade and offer the user the ability to use high quality 4x4 glass filters.

Bellows System
Bellows adjustment allows for maximum flare protection and adjust from 35 to 150mm.
Rod Support
The rod support system takes the weight off the camera lens and allows bellows and vertical adjustments.
French Flag
Allows for more light control from lens flare.
4x4 Filters
4x4 Glass Filters can be used with one stationary holder and one rotating for polarizers and gradient filters.

Very limited adjustment or Customer serv

I purchased this matte box for use with my XLH1. I hoped to use it with other cameras also but found that the height of the matte box was only adjustable by < 1. I thought I could simply purchase a new riser or other parts from Cavision. However they did not offer ANY parts other than those on the original item. Now as I understand it matte boxes are not built specific for any one camera, but are by design meant to adjust for different applications. Not only did the company not offer any additional parts to make it adjustable they STILL don't. I really don't want to buy a matte box for EVERY camera I buy. So next time I will buy a competitors matte box that offers accessories for adjustment.
