This is being used for hooking together model railroad modules. There aren't assembly instructions with the connector, so a couple of tips: 1) If you want to do a trial assembly before adding the wires, the screws that clamp the wires need to be turned in for the inner part to be inserted into the outer housing without interference. 2) the strain relief and blue cap clamp the inner part into position when they are assembled.
