This is one of the few softboxes that I never had problems assembling. The material is a leather like plastic that looks more durable than your typical vinyl softbox. It looks sturdy and built to last. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to intall the inner baffle and have since lost the instructions.
As others have stated before. The box rods are extremely tight and if inserted correctly then you won't get them out for tear-down. But I have found if you flip one rod around and insert it upside down the box can be disabled in minutes rather easily. I think overall the box quality is a typical build for China. The rods are about an 1/8 inch too long. The speedring included is aluminum and of a good build. Double diffuser is great. I've been using soft boxes for well over a decade and this box quality is not what I would expect for a professional. This would be perfectly fine if you plan to set it up in the camera room and leave it set up, but do not plan on ever taking it on location and using the carry case that comes with it because you will break the strip on disasembly. 5 out of 10 based on price, build quality.
