Paterson PTP324R reviews

8x10" Tray (Red) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic design works well This tray works well for processing sheet film, silver-gelatin prints, and alt-process prints. The grooves in the bottom help to minimize sticking and help the user get tongs under the media (though the competing Cescolite dimple-bottom design works a bit better). The tray is very sturdily constructed, and the pour lip is very handy. Note that the stated size is the actual inside dimension of the tray, not the size of media it's intended for--e.g. the 8x10 tray is suitable for 5x7 and smaller media, not 8x10 media.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size for a small darkroom I originally made the mistake of buying 16x20 trays, thinking at least I'd have the option of printing really large if I ever wanted to. It didn't occur to me that I'd be wasting tons of chemicals just on the off chance that I wanted to print larger than 8x10. After one session in my darkroom, I realized my mistake. These are perfect for printing 8x10 and smaller, and much more economical in the process! I bought 4 trays (DEV, STOP, FIX, RINSE), but decided to incorporate a 5th tray for hypo clear. I've only been using them for a few weeks, but I'm much happier with this size tray for the work I'm doing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Paterson 8x10 Tray. This tray is very functional. It could be a bit more sturdy, but for the price you really can't beat it. I find the ridged bottom very useful. I've used trays with flat bottoms and had trouble getting the print out with tongs because I couldn't get under it. The ridges make this easy. Overall this is a great, economical product. I also like the different colors, I can match up my tongs to them and not get extra cross contamination.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great economical trays thats built tough. This is a very economical tray that has great stiffness along the bottom and sides of the tray. No worries about bending/spilling when you pick it up with only one hand. Cool white color and the rows of channel goes down instead of up into the tray. I'm more used to Richards Photo Tray where the raised bumps comes up into the tray to allow fluid to circulate under photo paper. Overall its a good working tray.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it's meant to do Perfect size for 8x10 or smaller prints, with enough room to lift the print. The pouring spout helps to keep messes at bay when returning chemicals to bottles and they are easy to clean. The construction is solid enough for the job. Trays stack easily for storage. There's a cutout holder for a thermometer. All in all, a good buy for the money.
