Foma 200 Creative 120 Reviews

Terrible Quality in 120 Format

This film shouldn’t be sold in 120 format. The “black rain” is horrendous. I’ve uploaded a section from a recent photo. I love Foma 200 in 135 format, but it’s terrible in 120.

Emulsion defects and horrible curling

As mentioned in previous reviews, there is an obvious emulsion problem that causes black streaks distributed evenly across the frame. Not to mention the horrendously thin base that makes it impossible to keep the negative flat even with a good a quality negative holder for DSLR scanning. Trying to insert a strip in a PrintFile Transparent sleeve is a nightmare. Glad I bought only two rolls. If these two shortcomings don't bother you, image quality is decent. But for me, life is too short to waste time on such a bad quality product. Will keep with Kodak and Ilford in the future.
