Fomapan 400 Action from Foma is a panchromatic black and white negative film with a nominal sensitivity of ISO 400/27°. Its wide exposure latitude permits rating the film at +1 EV to -2EV with no change needed when processing in standard chemistry, making it suitable for working in a wide variety of lighting conditions. It has a fine grain structure, good resolving power, and high sharpness.

I decided to try this on price alone; it was 'cheap'. Well, I have yet to print/scan the negatives but I am pretty shocked how thin the film base is, like half as thick as HP5, or Tri-x. Very curly too, I fear it will be difficult to scan. I'm going to back Tri-X, now that I see it's pretty much the same price as HP5. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for; might as well have the best and best really is Tri-X
