The iO-2 from Alesis is a two channel, record and playback USB audio interface. The unit provides both microphone and instrument/line inputs for both channel, along with insert points for connecting external dynamics or EQ processors.
The unit is housed in a rugged yet light desktop style enclosure and is entirely bus-powered for ultimate portability. Phantom power and metering are provided as is Steinbergs Cubase LE software, allowing the unit to be used immediately on installation.
