I measured the total dissolved solids of my water with and without the filter. Both readings were at 260. If you live in an area with hard water, this will do absolutely nothing for you.

Easy to attach and does a good job of filtering water. Haven't tried with chemicals yet. Useful that everything can be cleaned easily.

How does it work?
I use this as part of a portable kit when I travel. I have used it in hotels and campgrounds around the Pacific Northwest without any issues. The only problem I have had was one sink faucet was to large for it to fit over.
