Photogenic AKC320 Overview

The StudioMax III constant color offers a full 6 F-Stop power range over 320 watt/seconds. It has internal control to ensure the same Kelvin temperature output, no matter what level of output is chosen.

This light is an excellent choice as a main, secondary, or hair light. Since it accepts the entire line of the PowerLight reflectors, grids, snoots, and diffusers, the StudioMax III is a good investment.

This Photogenic StudioMax III Softbox Portrait Kit  includes 2 heavy duty 13' air cushioned light stands, a counterweighted Boom Arm, 36 x 36" and 10 x 24" Softbox. The wheeled, partitioned case stores and carries it all.

Over all I like the lights but the on and off switch feel cheap when you slide it up and down for off.

The light exploded

The light exploded when I touched the test button, the back blew out and gave everyone in the room a heart attack. I really can not recommend this product.

Which beauty dish would be compatible with it?

I would recommend either the Photogenic Quick Change Portrait Reflector, White - 24 , B&H # PHR24PLW, or the Photogenic PL22RW 22 Glamour Reflector With White Interior, B&H # PHR22PLW, for your needs. The Photogenic Quick Change Portrait Reflector - Aluminum Finish - 18 , B&H # PHR18PL, would also work as a silver reflector, but it is a special order item that is not in stock and has an estimated 7-14 business day arrival estimate.
