Radial Engineering JS-3 Overview

The JS-3 from Radial Engineering is a ruggedly built, compact unit that splits a single microphone input signal into three outputs for driving three mic preamps or mixers from one source. The JS-3 also features a -30dB pad for accepting line-level signals, making it extremely versatile. The unit has 100% isolation with high-quality Jensen transformers, providing clean audio and minimizing the buzz caused by ground loops.

The JS-3 features a bookend design that protects the connectors and switches. Crafted from 14 gauge steel, the unit is virtually indestructible. You can also rack-mount up to eight units with an optional J-Rak from Radial Engineering.

I needed something that wasn't padding my signal from the mic pre into the effect unit but padded it from the output of the mic pre into the mixing console for rehearsals and live applications. This box worked fantastic because i lost no tone from the mic pre which was my biggest concern when looking into different ways to pad the signal. This worked brilliantly. Highly recommend

I am looking for something just like this but for a condenser microphone that requires phantom power. Will this work?
Asked by: Thomas
In order to split the audio signal from a condenser microphone when using a mic splitter like the Radial Engineering JS-3 - Three-Way Microphone Signal Splitter, you will need to use a separate phantom power supply to power the condenser microphone. The Mackie M48 Single-Channel 48V Phantom Power Supply (B&H # MAM48) would work for this type of application.
