The DIB-307A from Hosa is an active direct box that is used for boosting guitar and bass signals up to line level for direct-to-mixer connections, via either Low-Z or Hi-Z inputs.
An "Amp-In" feature allows an amplifier's speaker output to go directly into a console without time consuming microphone selection and placement. A Ground Lift switch breaks "ground-loops," reducing 60-cycle hum.
