The Sony SSC-DC590 is a sensitive security and surveillance CCTV camera with a 1/3-inch CCD chip. With recent advances in digital processing the camera squeezes out very wide dynamic range for low-light images in full color. When lighting becomes even too low for the color video mode the camera automatically switches to a black and white infrared mode for image capture in complete darkness.
Good Resolution Even In Low Light
The SSC-DC590 has a 1/3-inch CCD chip that incorporates some 380,000 picture elements. With the DynaView feature the camera achieves impressive dynamic range for very low light and high contrast image capture.
Day and Night Feature
This camera captures highly detailed black and white pictures in complete darkness. When there is sufficient lighting the camera automatically switches to a conventional color video mode. The switch from color to black and white is likewise automatic.
CCD Iris Feature
The SSC-DC590 has circuitry for exposure compensation even when using manual iris lenses. The CCD chip automatically reduces charge accumulation time. The duration light is accumulated on the chip. This function lowers sensitivity to proportionally compensate for changing lighting conditions.
