The Sony SNC-DF40 is a dome-style security camera with a built-in web server and network interface. It has a wide angle zoom lens that ranges from 3 m to 8 mm and its maximum aperture f/1.0 allows the camera to be used in low light environments. It can utilize both JPEG and MPEG4 compression schemes allowing for both smooth video/audio streaming and providing high quality still images over a wide range of network bandwidths.
Audio Supported
The SNC-DF40 has an external microphone input and a line level audio output. This signal can be used with active speakers allowing for audio monitoring and audible warnings at the monitoring site.
All-In-One Network Design
The SNC-DF40 incorporates a built-in web server and a 100Base-TX/10Base-T network interface in a compact dome design. It allows for monitoring live images and camera control from a PC running a standard web browser. Additional software plug-ins are not needed.
Superior Picture Quality
This network camera has 1/4-inch CCD that achieves 480 horizontal lines resolution. The CCD imager requires only 0.8 Lux with f/1.0 which enables the camera to capture clear images even under low light conditions.
Power Over Ethernet
The camera supports the 802.3af PoE (Power Over Ethernet) standard. PoE allows for lower wiring costs and less installation time. This camera can also be powered by conventional 12 volt DC and 24 volt AC system.
