    Hosa Technology USM-422 reviews

Tracklink MIDI to USB Interface (6 ft) is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works fine The previous review was the only negative one I've seen on the web, and it seems misinformed. The product is not advertised as needing or having a driver on cd. It worked right away with no extra work, creating its own MIDI setup on my computer. BUT, (1) you have to pay attention to the MIDI connector colors (plug the red one into your instrument's MIDI OUT port), AND (2) do some MIDI setup on your instrument (e.g. local control=OFF for playback). Finally, (3) it's not an audio cable, it's a midi cable, so understand the difference. It carries MIDI signals for music software, not sound for recording.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work how it should... Connected it to multiple keyboards and using Mac OS Lion. It only sends out 1 or 2 notes at a time and frequently skips notes. So, basically, playing a chord is impossible. Even individual note playing doesn't work well. Should have paid more attention to other reviews. B&H refunded me the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great MIDI Cord I use this product to connect my keyboard with my computer. It runs windows 7 64 bit and it recognized the connection instantly. You don't need to install anything. The cord is very long which is great. It also is very durable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work properly This cable seemed to be working fine at first, until I tried to use the sustain pedal. It triggers E3 whenever I press it. I have CONFIRMED that it is the cable doing it - I just tried a different cable 5 minutes ago and the sustain pedal works properly. I wasted money on this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't quite work This cable works as long as I don't want to do anything with the sustain pedal. I have investigated the problem and I'm pretty sure the cable's interface is interpreting the sustain pedal as E3 or E4. This didn't happen with the other cable I was testing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does it's Job. if ur like me and are using an electronic insterment that dosnt have a usb port, then it most likely has a midi port...and if u dont wanna buy a interface witch are around $ bucks then YOU NEED TO GET THIS CHORD!!!! its simple plug in and get workin!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Buy, Very Poor Quality I had a problem with every DAW where it would think certain notes are on when they're not, effectively making them sustain when there's no sustain pedal (let alone sustain on random notes). This was fixed when I switched to an E-MU Xmidi 1x1 Tab.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as Advertised Product was advertised as having a CD with drivers. The product came with no CD. On the package it stated drivers not needed and listed my operating system as compatible. The device did not work.
