The Varizoom Black Hawk is the top end of the Varizoom camera stabilizer line for broadcast, HD, and film cameras weighing up to 25 lb (11.3 kg). Utilizing the best components and materials for the application, the Black Hawk takes into account every angle of ergonomics to ensure operator safety and comfort for optimal performance.
FlowTech Gimbal
The old design has been improved with a detachable, ergonomically-sloped extension grip for improved handling with the option to add a zoom control. The precision 3-axis gimbal delivers consistent fluid motion with six sets of bearings.
Form-Fitting Ultra Rigid Vest
This revised vest includes a contoured chest pad, torso-gripping 4-point buckle system, 2-stage reversible arm bridge, and height-adjustable chest plate. The lightweight, cooler vest hugs and supports the upper body, making it possible to fly heavy cameras for extended periods.
Heavy Duty Dual Arm
The Black Hawk's reinforced, dual-dynamic arm system is adjustable over a broad range, can bear cameras 10-25 lb (4.5-11.3 kg) swiftly and smoothly and offers up to 38.0" (96.5 cm) of vertical travel. Twenty-four precision bearings and four beefy springs ensure silent, dependable performance. The 2-stage reversible arm bridge allows left or right orientation and 4" (10 cm) up/down positioning. This arm will carry cameras as light as 10 lb (4.5 kg) with free optional weight plate (15 lb/6.8 kg without).
Precision Gear Drive Stage
The adjustable gear drive stage enables extremely precise tuning of the horizontal balance. The included balancing plate aids greatly in setup when paired with a standard C-stand.
Sled Assembly
At the base of the sled, a 7" 16:9 color monitor serves as a large external viewfinder. Dual V-Lock mounts power the monitor (and the camera, if necessary) through internal wiring. The monitor and batteries also serve as counterweight for vertical balance. Monitor and battery positions can be adjusted for fine-tuning.
Low Mode Included
The rock solid Low Mode bracket allows stabilized extra-low perspective shots.
Custom Rolling Case
A form-cut foam insert protects and secures the system components inside, and the wheeled case with telescoping handle ensures effortless transport. Padded carry pouches hold the toolkit, cables, monitor, remote control, and training DVD.
