Poor female contacts.. 2.5 stars

Wow - Ive had other HOSA devices in the past (10+ years old) - they were much better. The female contacts are sloppy and can push in and might lose contact. I modified a pair of these to lift pin 3 but retain pin 1. I then epoxied the FM contacts on the back side so they hopefully don't slip anymore. At least most of the hardware was good for my purpose and the price was very low (too low?) PS: as is - these ground pin 1 to the chassis but do not pass an ungrounded wire from one end to the other (ground lift)
Works great for its specific purpose.

This is a ground lift adapter. It is not an isolation transformer. It works perfectly for its intended application. Ground lifts will definitely solve a very specific kind of problem. If you cannot articulate what that problem is, don't buy this! I knock one star off because they seem to have a tendency for the screws to work loose. A little thread blocker fixes that problem.
