The Hosa PLG025SR stereo 1/4" right-angle phone plug is meant for soldered termination of three-conductor audio cables. The angled shell allows cables to hang straight down with gravity, thereby maintaining the integrity of the conductors and shielding materials.
My phone plug works great. I had some difficulty getting it to work because my 1/4" lug would not fit first, but then I got it to work.
These TRS phone plugs look good but soldering to the tangs is a real pain.� When putting them back together the tangs get pressed together causing a short.� I had to add electrical tape between the tangs to prevent this from happening.
