The NX-100 from TOA Electronics is a network audio adapter used for transporting mic or line level audio signals over IP-based networks and the Internet. It can be used for wide area paging or as a messaging or background music distributor for large facilities such as airports or train stations. It has plug-in screw terminal inputs and outputs for audio, as well as a 10/100BaseT Ethernet jack for network connection, and a serial port for data transfer.
The rear panel features eight programmable trigger inputs for initiation and termination of transmissions and eight open-collector control outputs. A built-in web server supports browser-based programming, control, and monitoring from any network-connected PC. The NX-100 also includes multiple error correction modes, can be powered by AC power or by a 24VDC input, and has flash-upgradable firmware.
