Works perfectly, sounds great

I was expecting this thing to *sound* like a paging microphone. But it actually sounds really good. We're using it in a restaurant, and the cooks announce that orders are ready from the kitchen using an SM-58, and this mike is at the registers. It sounds just as good as the 58, so my client is very happy. I would love to have a silicone pad to cover the base, so that grease and liquid won't get into it, but other than that, it's a great-sounding mike, and it worked perfectly right out of the box.

How do I wire the four conductor cable into a balance signal
Asked by: Robert
This mic comes with an unterminated lead wire for connecting to paging system amplifiers. If you want to to terminate this mic with an XLR connection, you would solder the two main cables to the appropriate pins and use the shielding for the ground. Toa has the wiring configuration in the service manual and online.
