The Pelco ALM2064 is an alarm interface unit that accepts external sensors to activate an alarm on the Pelco CM6800 series matrix switcher. Up to sixty-four external alarm sensors can be connected directly to this unit, with support for normally open (N.O.) or normally closed (N.C.) contacts. In addition to its alarm inputs, this unit features a single relay output to activate a device from the switcher following an alarm event.
Communication with the main switcher is through an RS-485 communication interface using Pelco's proprietary M protocol. For expansion purposes, up to four of these units can be cascaded together, providing multiple alarm contact points on a single CM6800 M-port connection. This unit ships with integrated rack ears for mounting in a standard 19" rack (1 RU high).
