The Yamaha P70S is an inexpensive 88-key digital piano for home use, with a silver cabinet finish. It features the Graded Hammer Standard keyboard mechanism for realistic touch response, a built-in 12-watt stereo amplifier and 4.7" stereo speakers, along with the half-pedaling function, which allows for more expressive and realistic pedaling performance.
The 10 AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) sampled sounds found in the P70S feature a Grand Piano preset, with thirty different sample points, ensuring an accurate digital emulation of an acoustic grand piano. The sounds are enhanced by the built-in digital reverbs, which add larger room ambience. A set of demo songs is available for instructional or enjoyment use, and MIDI In and Out ports are included for connection to other MIDI keyboards, or a computer.
