Tram TR50 overview

  • 1Description

The Tram TR50 is a professional omnidirectional electret condenser lavalier microphone with a low-profile design resulting in low visibility. The TR50 features a frequency response that enhances the character and frequencies associated with speech.

The polar pattern provides a generous pick up response at the direct and off-axis sections of the microphone capsule. This enhances sensitivity and minimizes noise associated with movement, wind and clothing contact. The TR50 features minimum sound coloration and is available in a variety of connectors for direct integration with wireless transmitters. This version features the TA5F-pin connection for use with Audio-Technica and Lectrosonics wireless transmitters.

The TR50 is powered by your Audio-Technica or Lectrosonics transmitter, but can also be hard-wired with the included TR79 power supply. The TR79 accepts external Phantom power or uses internal battery power.

    Tram TR50 reviews

TR50 - Omnidirectional Lavalier Condenser Microphone with TR79 Power Supply (Black) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great mic, not so great clip I've used Tram mics for 15 years and they are rally the best lavaliere mics out there. They are very discreet and the best for gathering sound in the worst conditions. My big problem with this one, which I haven't experienced with the previous ones, is the lapel/tie clip. When I took it out of its case and threaded the mic cable through it the clip part broke off even before the mic reached it. They clips I've had before were pretty rugged considering what they're made of. This one was less than useless. The mic is the best and the clip is the worst

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great kit Quality sound and a bunch of different accessories for mounting/clipping. Pin-out to lectrosonic made integration to current workflow lossless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good sound - High quality This mic is a great option for hard-wiring. With the Feds recently limiting bandwidth, it has become more difficult to use wireless cavaliers when traveling. Having a reliable hard-wired mic in your kit is a must.
