The Ever Focus ECZ230 is a small high performance all-weather video camera that can be used in daylight or in complete darkness. It has infrared (IR) LED illuminators built into the weatherproof housing that are invisible to the human eye yet illuminates the scene in total darkness. The camera displays 380 horizontal lines for the critical detail your security application requires. A full complement of automatic feature assures properly exposed pictures even in scenes where lighting may change throughout the course of the day. This camera comes with a 4.3mm f/2.0 lens delivering a medium wide 58° horizontal angle of view.
Low Low Light Sensitive
With the special IR illuminators the ECZ230 camera can be used in areas with no ambient lighting. The LEDs will illuminate the scene up to 15 meters from the camera. In nighttime mode the camera is rated at 0 LUX minimum light sensitive. In daytime mode the camera is still extremely sensitive to be rated at 0.3 Lux with f/1.2 and Gain up.
IP66 Environmental Protection
The ECZ230 is built into a weatherproof housing that protects it from many environmental elements. Rated IP66 the camera is protected from dust and strong water jets. It is water resistant enough to be rated to be used on the deck of a ship.
The camera has an ultra fast shutter system that can stop all but the very fastest moving objects. The shutter can be set to stop images to 1/100,000 seconds. The shutter is also used to control the amount of light hitting the imager.
Auto Gain Feature
Another light control function is the Auto Gain feature. When light levels are not sufficient enough to expose the scene properly the camera will boost the overall light level (+ Gain) so detailed images can be captured.
Back Light Compensation
So how does the camera expose foreground when the background is extremely bright? The camera uses a Back Light Compensation system that overexposes the background so that objects/persons in front can be shown with detail.
