Olympus EP-6 reviews

EP-6 Large Rubber Eyecup is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like the size of this eyecup. This is a replacement for the eyecup that I had on my E-3. The one that came with the camera easily slid off. This one is a little more secure, but you still have to be careful. I like the fact that it works well for those of us who wear glasses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth a shot. I have had one of these eyecups on my E300 for about sixmonths now. I wanted to try it because I thought it mighthelp me keep my face a little further away from the LCDscreen. It does do that and I have found it to be very softeven in cold weather. I think it would help eye glasswearers as well ( I don't have any yet). There is asituation that this is a big eyecup and it does take a littlespecial care to keep on the camera. It isn't that it's toolarge. It's just that it is big, and it can be brushed offthe viewfinder if your not mindful of it. I have lost onethat way, but I still think it is worth the $20 even if it'sone or two per year. Problems Encountered: Be mindful of that big eyecup hanging off the back of thecamera.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Have Definitely Bought Again The EP-6 is a fantastic replacement for the standard smaller eyepieces on the E-300 and 500. It also happens to be the standard eyecup on the new top-of-line E-3. Aside from adding a more pro look and providing an added sense of security for your shoe-mount flash, it also gives better eye relief - distance of your nose from back of camera, while providing better light block-out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Glasses Wearers, Looks Serious I used this to replacethe smaller eyecup on my Olympus e620. It's hard to tell from the pictures here, but this thing is *much* larger, but it still looks fine on the camera once you get used to it, evena little cool. As far as functionality, it is a far better solution for glasses wearers. It blocks more light from getting between your lens and the viewfinder, plus the rubbery plastic is soft and can shape a bit more to your lens curvature. Being back a bit further helps you take in the image and settings below better than before. Be sure to change your diopter adjustment to compensate for abeing a bit further back form the viewfinder than before. I think it's overpriced anywhere you look, but then again maybe not. I have to say it's well worth the money already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Panasonic Lumix DMC-L1 with Olympus cup If you're one of those like myself that love the Lumix DMC-L1, you also know how ridiculously easy it is to inadvertantly lose the original eyecup. You then search the world for a replacement (not easy!!), and as luck would have it you may suffer a repeat. Why put up with the hassle? The Olympus Eyecup (EP-6 is best, EP-5 also works) is larger, shields stray light, is more comfortable with glasses and is very hard to take off accidentally. All together a better product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Improvement for Nikon D300s I wear glasses and this eyecup works great on my Nikon D300s.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worthless Item Recommended for glasses but does not work. This product puts your eye too far away from the camera finder on my E-30. You cannot see a full field of vision or edge to edge of the picture you are trying to take. Big waste of money, do not buy this product if you wear glasses. Rating zero stars!!!!!!! ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EP-6 Large SLR Eyecup Read about this eyecup on a Nikon camera forum. Purchased for my D300, and am happy I did. Much larger which gives a better viewing angle with less squinting. More comfortable to use...my nose does not have to be pressed against the display to get a full view thru the viewfinder.Well worth the money, ...
