This is a great bag. It's replacing one just like it that i bought around 2003 which wore out from too much use. I highly recommend!

I bought this carry case to put my 3 Studio Essential air cushioned light stands in and they fit great in the bag! There is a little bit of room on each end of the carry case where I could put a couple of 5lb sand bags still. The diameter just fits the stands perfectly, almost a little tight but I can open and close the zipper without any issue or real force. There is no padding to this bag so if you're purchasing make sure you're okay with letting whatever is inside getting a little knocked around. My bag is brand new so I can't say how it will perform over the years but the quality of the bag and super seem to be really great. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Is this thing fitting an aputure light dome? How would this hold up checked on an airplane? Thanks!

While the case is long enough to hold an Aputure Light Dome, it is not wide enough.

The specs listed under the listing on BH's website are 41X6.5 inches. Mine came as part of a kit and I use it for 2 lightstands. I don't think you could squeeze another one in.
