Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great concept, lousy construction and QC Two stars for a great concept. I am not aware of similar pop-up bag on the market!First of all, the bag comes with a big warning - Not tested to be light proof. Make sure to test your bag with a piece of photo paper as instructed before you ruin a roll of film. Secondly, the original bag that I received and the replacement were both faulty. The inside bag seems were torn apart in both instances (bottom right corner where zippers are). Considering the pop-up design and pressure this puts on the fabric, this does not look like a bag I want to trust with my films! This could be just a bad batch, but also a lousy QC by Photoflex! My best advice is to inspect your bag ...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It is Ok, but not as great as I thought If the design had a flat bottom and if the arms were not placed so high up it would be a lot better. Need for a flatter bottom: this contraption rocks back and forth because the bottom is curved. That does not help when a person is trying to keep things in their place. High Arm Holes: sitting at a normal table with normal chairs makes the arm hole position awkwardly high. A person will definitely need a stool that sits up higher than a typical chair. I would barely recommend this product because it is better than having to create a completely dark room and it is slightly better than a changing bag that does not have any structure to it whatsoever.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's better than the alternatives Purchased to replace a standard changing bag to load 4x5 film holders and to load JOBO tanks. As others who have reviewed this product I find the arm holes too high and place you in an uncomfortable and tiring position. It has sufficient room but find I can only load 4 or 5 holders before too much moisture is built up and affects the film. My hands and arms were almost running with sweat. (About 10 minutes was the max before I had to stop.) Working in an A/C room would probably help though. Its made well and no problems with light leaks....it's lite and folds flat well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from On The Road I purchased this item to take on a long road trip. There wasn't much room left inside my 2005 VW Gti after I had packed my large format equipment but the Photoflex could be folded into a neat flat package. Sure there are better bags and tents out there; but not at this price. Great value for the money. Highly recommended for guys like me who work on a budget of money and space. I also think it is well constructed. Loading 4x5 film holders is a cinch. Light as a feather

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again and again I use this Photoflex Film Changing Room to load up five Jobo's film reels with Kodak Professional E100G, E100VS or E100GX slide films at a time. It's large and comfortable enough for me to do five reel of films at once then load up the drum, lock on the lid while the scissor, empty film cartridges and opener tool in the there. This product is cost effective and exceptional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Emphasis is on ROOM This product is a must for large-format photographers in particular, for loading film holders in the field and for loading a developing tank afterwards. This is one of the few changing bags on the market which allows for a roomy vertical space in which to work as well as horizontal. If all you need is a place to unload a 35mm casette you can find a smaller, cheaper alternative than this, but if you need a spacious place to work this is it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nicely made, works ok, but... Nothing wrong with the tent. Zippers work without catching fabric, it's nicely made. But I should have bought a larger one. Some extra room would have been nice. My fault!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best buy I have had one of these for about five years. I use it for the large photo them developing tank. Works great and has held up well. It's more comfortable to use if u are able to just plop it onto your lap and lean back to do your work. Table to use can get awkward in body and arm position as the reviews have stated. Very sturdy and worth the money folds up flat for ease storage and pops open easily.
