The Pelco DX2000 is a digital video recorder designed for security and surveillance applications. This model can accomodate up to 16 camera inputs and it has a 480 GB hard disk for storage. Unlike video recorders that use tape (remember video tape?) the DVR needs far less on-site maintenance (no swapping tapes) than a VCR. And like most other DVRs the unit has various settings for image resolution and picture-per-second frame rates allowing you to dial in the actual image quality that your specific application requires. It can be connected to your local device network such as cash registers or ATMs so data and images can be stored in a single place. It can even be controlled from almost anywhere in the world with its Ethernet interface.

Pelco DX2016480 Overview
Remote Operation
Since most applications do not require local, labor intensive supervision, the
DX2000 Series DVR was engineered for complete remote operation utilizing TCP/IP network (LAN/WAN/Internet) or PSTN phone line connections. The system is operated or programmed (depending on password level) through the Web browser
interface installed on your PC. That computer can be literally anywhere in the world there is an internet connection.
Highly Programmable
The DX2000 DVR can record video based on scheduled settings in continuous, motion detection, or alarm modes. This machine can also be connected to a maximum of 16 serial devices such as cash registers or ATMs for recording data along with the video. Not only is the data recorded and electronically associated with the video, but due to live monitoring of data by the system, most video recording parameters can be changed depending on the data received. For example, the DX2000 Series DVR can speed up recording for certain types of data transactions that are designated as exceptions.
Data Interface
For Retail applications and others the DX2000 series DVR can be connected to your workplace devices. Transaction information from cash registers and ATM machines can be logged with the video images. An optional Pelco adapter box is required for complete integration with the DVR.
Full Duplex Operation
Full-duplex operation assures that no video is lost during review. A wide variety of hard drive options allows for maximum flexibility and easy search options.
