The Pelco KBD200A is a full functionality controller for use with Pelco matrix switchers, multiplexer and Spectra systems. The keyboard enables precise control of major camera functions including pan/tilt, zoom, manual focus, open/close, iris, start/stop, random scanning as well as control of any auxiliary devices attached to the camera. When using an optional remote wiring kit (KBDKIT), up to 16 cameras can be directly attached to the keyboard without having to use the CM6700 or CM6800 switchers. Multiple keyboards can be attached to a single switcher with the maximum amount determined by the type of switcher used.
Full Functionality
The keyboard is designed to control Pelco switchers, Genex Multiplexer attached to switchers, and direct camera control for Spectra and Esprit camera systems. Prominently featured are left, right, up and down keys for precise pan/tilt control of both fixed and variable speed cameras. Additional keys are used to control major camera functions including manual focus, open/close iris, zoom, start/stop as well as controlling monitors and any auxiliary devices attached to the camera.
Multiple Keyboards
Depending on the switcher in use, multiple keyboards can be attached to a single switcher. The CM6700 and CM6800-32X6 switchers support up to eight keyboards. Up to 16 keyboards can be used with the CM6800-48X8, CM6800E-48X8 and CM6800-96X16 switchers while the CM9760-SAT supports up to 4 keyboards.
ASCII Mode
Enables keyboard/SCU control using dial-up or fiber optic lines of communication. Depending on the switcher in use, an RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 may be required. ASCII mode supports one keyboard connection to the switcher.
Direct Mode
Direct Mode supports control of up to 16 cameras directly connected to the keyboard, without using a switcher or multiplexer. This requires an optional remote wiring kit as well as an optional MS500 or VA6100 to route the video to a monitor.
