Will this work with the Steadicam Solo and if so, will I still need the spacer nut the came with it?
While we are not entirely sure of your application, we feel this will do the job you need it to do for securing the camera to your solo even if the B&H description say's Pilot.

Will this fit into a 1/4 Canon Rebel mounting hole?
Yes, this will fit into the 1/4 -20 tripod mounting screw hole on the bottom of the Canon Rebel.
