This item was a perfect size replacement for my previous adapter that broke for my mxl condenser mic. Be aware that the replacement does not come with threaded screw adapter that was on my previous one. You may need the threaded screw adapter for the right size to screw onto your mic stand. So don't throw away your old broken one before the new one arrives.

This mic older is not made to fit the Samson G-Track Pro USB mic. I recommend contacting Samson directly, if you are in need of a replacement mic holder. Samson's website is www.samsontech.com.

How does this adapter hold the mic? I don't see threads or any other way to secure the mic to it. Thanks.
Look carefully. Standard size opening are at one end of the mic holder. That attaches to the stand. Loosen wing nut to rotate the “donut hole” and insert the mic into the hole. The microphone itself should have a screw-on attachment to secure the mic to the donut hole/holder.

No, the MXL-MT001 hard mount stand adapter is not a threaded mount and will not hold the Audio-Technica Consumer ATR2500X-USB microphone, For a compatible mount, use the Auray SHM-SCM1 Suspension Shockmount for Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphones (B&H # AUSHMSCM1).
