Universal Remote MX-650 Overview

The Universal Remote MX-650 Omega is an easy-to-use advanced universal remote control that will replace ten of your old remote controls. tHE MX-650 Omega is a pre-programmed remote; just enter the brand name and number of your component that you want to control. You can also use its learning technology feature for any new model or brand.

Omega can control up to twenty different devices; it has 912 macros for easy programming that allows you to take advantage of one-touch operation. For convenience, this remote has a LCD display as well as a LIGHT button to backlight all the buttons. It also has a non-volatile flash memory that can retain programming (without batteries) up to ten years.

MX-650 Omega transmits both infrared (IR) and radio (RF) signals for control purposes.

IR and RF Signals
Universal Remote MX-650 Osiris transmits both IR and RF signals to control devices. The range for IR is 30 to 50 feet whereas the range for RF is 50 to 100 feet. You must use optional addressable base stations to control devices using RF.
Learning Port
Omega has an infrared sensor that acts as the learning port. Just point your original remote toward this sensor and the Osiris picks up the infrared command. Follow some basic steps to learn one-button-at-a-time from your original remote.
Pre-Programmed Method
You can easily setup the remote using the pre-programmed method. The Omega works in conjunction with an extensive database of remote codes that are listed by categories of devices, and then by brand. You need to enter just the brand name and model number.
Macro Programming
Perform easy macro programming for a set of devices that can be controlled using one button. Automate all the steps (maximum 160 steps or commands) to control these devices for your convenience. MX-650 Omega has capabilities for 912 macros.
Punch Through
Use its punch through capability to change volumes for your audio system or TV by using Omegas's volume buttons. You can also apply this capability for other groups of buttons, such as: CH UP, PLAY, GUIDE and POWER On.
LCD Screen and Backlight
This remote features an LCD for display purposes. For backlighting the buttons, use the LIGHT button. This allows you to enjoy your entertainment system in the dark.
