The AKG WMS40 wireless microphone systems provide UHF wireless operation at a cost effective price. The systems are shipped with either handheld or belt-pack transmitters for microphone operation. The system is also available with the GB40 guitar transmitter for wireless guitar operation. This system includes the SR40 single receiver and GB40 "Guitar Bug" transmitter.

The SR40 single receiver is a half-rack mountable unit with balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" phone outputs on the rear. The front panel features a single antenna, volume control and LED indicators.

The GB40 Guitar Bug transmitter features a spring loaded, flexible 1/4" phone connection that provides a secure mount against the body of any instrument. The GB40 features a noiseless On/Off/Mute switch and adjustable gain is also provided. The compact lightweight transmitter will operate up to 11 hours on a single 1.5v AAA battery. Rechargeable batteries may be used and integrated charging contacts allow drop-in style charging on the optional CU 40 charging unit.

GB40 Guitar Bug
The GB40 guitar bug enables wireless use of guitars, bass and keyboard instruments. The transmitter features a spring loaded, retracting 1/4" phone connection, On/Off/Mute switch and gain control dial.
UHF Operation
The WMS40 Series features UHF operation for greater range and low drop-out and noise.
Balanced and Unbalanced Output
The SR40 features a balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" phone output connectors.
Comprehensive LED Display
