The ART PS 4x4 Pro Rackmount 8-Outlet Power Conditioner is a complete AC power solution for rackmount systems. The PS 4x4 Pro can be installed into the top slot of a rack. Its eight switched AC outlets in the rear panel will power up and protect all your equipment, up to a 15A load. The LED meter displays incoming voltage and current metering, and the two slide-out, swiveling light fixtures provide illumination for all your gear. They are adjustable via the front-panel dimmer control.

The PS 4x4 Pro conditions your delicate electronic equipment with a high-voltage surge and transient suppressor and an RFI/EMI interference filter. Pro Series models have an additional internal discrete module called APF (Advanced Power Filtering) which filters out digital and dimmer hash as well as any high frequency noise that is above the audio range. By using this high power discrete design, the filter stays effective over the full operating range.

The SP 4x4 Pro also features ART's "4x4" distribution on the back of the unit - four of the eight rear outputs are 1.25" apart. This allows the user to plug in wide power cables and multiple wall wart devices, and still have eight total power outlets to choose from.

A front-mounted circuit breaker reset switch is provided on the front panel. If the total load on the unit (combining all outlets) exceeds the 15A (or 1800W) limit the circuit breaker will trip.
A convenient master switch for the rear outlets that glows when the power is on. There is a separate "Rack Lights" switch for the lamps, plus a dimmer control knob that regulates the lamps' brightness.
Common Mode and Differential Mode topologies in series for the filter design block virtually all of the unwanted noise that is between the AC line and ground, and also the two sides of the AC line. This has the additional benefit of reducing ground loop problems in the system.
Any signals above 10kHz are filtered from the line with over 40dB of attenuation above 100kHz and beyond.
Rear-mounted gooseneck lamp for rear rack illumination.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Necessary Gear for your Gear! I have owned this exact model for two years now. It is mymain power conditioner on my power amp rack. It powers my EQ, Crossover, four sometimes five 1900 watt Yamaha power amps, as well as my DJ mixer, CD player, wireless mic and effects unit. The two main things I like are...1> Dual LED Meters - Easy to read and necessary when you are using your gear in different locations all the time. It's great to be able to look over and see how many amps you're using and to see how many volts are coming in.2> Rear Light - no flashlight necessary to see the back of your rack. Expertise: 15 years of professional DJ experience Problems Encountered: None - I have not yet even had to replace a bulb. Previous Equivalent Item Owned: Furman Items I Recommend: ART tube preamp for acoustic guitar or microphone

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inexpensive for a reason Compared to similar units from other manufacturers, this is a good buy. Unfortunately, the build quality is not great. The front LED lights give plenty of illumination and can be dimmed with the front panel knob. The rear gooseneck lamp is incandescent and cannot be switched off - big design trade off! Who wants a light on all the time inside the rack? I have three of these. One had the front meters DOA and was replaced. Exactly two years after purchase, one has dead front LED lights and another's lights strobe if set at an intensity above 50%. They do the job, but expect problems. It may be better to spend the extra money and get a better product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for a low price I mounted this unit in the top of my rack and I feel safe knowing my equipment is protected from harsh electrical surges. I love the fact that the 4x4 pro has easy to read LED's to tell me how much input and how much load the unit has. I had read a review where someone stated the lights get hot. I have had my 4x4 pro on for hours at a time and I haven't noticed the lights getting hot. I have however noticed the gooseneck lamp in the rear gets warm. The only thing I feel this unit lacks is an on off swith for that lamp in the rear. I personally don't have that much use for a lamp in the rear, so when I get my new Mackie mixer that will accept a gooseneck lamp that is where it will be. In my opinion the Art 4x4 Pro is a well built, nice looking piece of equipment. If it came up missing, I would buy another one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best power conditioner with lights This is my favorite addition to my AV rack. I needed a light and power conditioner. This one is the best for the $$$. It has the normal display of power. Outlets in the rear are good with some spaced for the transformer plugs. The lights are incredible. The front LED ones pull out and you can rotate the direction to light up part or most of the rack. The rear light is a standard gooseneck with regular bulb. It can be positioned to see your connections. This unit gives you a professional, high quality look along with the piece of mind of protectiong your equipment.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great price but quality in question I had this power conditioner only a few days when it failed, reading sporadic voltages or none at all. Also, the lights are conventional incandescent, not LED, which generates a lot of heat. I have a Furman conditioner in another rack and it has been on for a couple of years now, 24/7, with no failure at all. Because of the other report of this same problem in these reviews, I would pass on buying this product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice power conditioner! Very useful power supply. Lights on the front and back are great for seeing all of your rack gear in a dimly lit bar/basement studio. It powers a 2400 watt QSC power amp, yamaha mg mixer, a full PA rack, my pedal board and guitar amp, and a set of roland v-drums. No problems whatsoever and everything runs very quietly with no AC noise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice piece of gear! I really like having the ammeter so I can tell how much power my rack is using. Great way to be efficient when installing equipment, so you can maximize your electrical circuits. The provided goose neck light on the back of the unit is a nice touch.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A possible concern This product is well-constructed and well designed. Unfortunately, it failed just a few days after I installed it. The voltmeter reads sporadic, varying voltages up to 400+volts (which is obviously not the case) and sometimes does not display at all. I have a similar Furman power product installed in a rack in the same room that reads a rock solid 120-125VAC and have never had problems with it in years of use. I am sure my experience is not typical ... otherwise good product.
