    Quantum Instruments 862574 reviews

XA2 Flash Connection Cable is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just a cord, a necessary part of system The name, locking module, is a little odd. It's just a cord that connects a Quantum battery to a hot-shoe flash, in my case an old Vivitar 283. The cord locks onto the battery and the other end locks into the flash unit's battery compartment, so it won't inadvertently disconnect. It would have been nice if the cord could use the plug on the flash unit instead of fitting in the battery compartment. The compartment door can't close with the cord sticking out of it, so they supply a little veclro gizmo to help keep the door closed, but the door still won't close all the way, so I don't bother with the velcro. There are two styles of these cords. This is the short one. The other style is longer, the curly springy kind like they used to have on telephones, and would be useful if you were wearing the battery on your belt. This short one is just an ordinary cord. For on-camera flash, the battery would have to be attached to the camera. I use both of mine on light stands. Make sure you have the correct model of Quantum battery for this cord and make sure you select the correct model of cord to fit your flash unit.
