    Fostex MC10ST Reviews

MC10ST Cardioid Condenser Microphones is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great matched pair This is an excellent value and a perfectly matched pair. It comes with all the accessories you'll need to record in stereo. Great for horns or woodwinds or as drum overheads. Also good on acoustic guitar. ... These are condenser mics and require phantom power. You can't plug them straight into an amp. You need a mixer that can deliver phantom power or a phantom power unit. These have very low self noise and good dynamic range. They case is very nice and they come with a printout showing both mics frequency response ranges (mine were basically identical).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quite good for the price This Mics need phantom to be powered. These do a very good job using as alternate mics for my Zoom H4n hand recorder. I like a lot. And for the price, performance is hard to beat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from completely useless I could not get these microphones to work -- maybe I'm missing something, but straight out of the box, I plugged them in to a power amplifier and tried every conceivable setting. Plugged mics I already own in and they worked fine. In addition, when handling one of the shock mounts trying to loosen it, it snapped in half in my hand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So Far So Good Have used these for drum overheads. No complaints for the price. But don't expect them to be Neumann's or anything. A bit tinny and bright, but thats to be expected with cheap condensers these days.I like the stereo bar it comes with. easy way to setup fo ORTF recording
