yes, you will lose tally functionality but it's pretty easy to do that as all intercom functions are Clear-Com clone sorta. It's a 12v system instead of std. 30V, but the wiring lines-up and can actually interface with 2-wire systems believe it or not. on the 5-pin cable, pin 2=audio, 3 = common ground, 4= +12v. 1,5 are tally red and yellow respectively, but you don't need if you're not using tally thru the snake.

I see that two of these can be daisy chained together...does this increase the number of units that can be connected? What would you do for a team of 12 techs + the need for 1 to be wireless?

Will the Tally system work with the Blackmagic ATEM 1 M/E Production Studio 4K? I'm guessing I will need to get the Blackmagic Design GPI & Tally Interface but that is 25 pin cable where the DataVideo ITC-100 only has 15pin cable?
Hi Adrian, you would need to make a custom cable that matches the tally pin outs from the BMD switcher to the tally pin outs of the ITC-100. We provide the tally specs of the ITC-100 in our product manual.

Does this Datavideo ITC-100 will work with video switchers different make than Datavideo, like Roland video switchers?
I have mine integrated with the Blackmagic ATEM TV Studio using a BMD GPI/Tally unit and a custom wired cable, and the live tally works great but there is no warning (preview) light.
