Carson OL-57 Overview

The OL-57 5x OcuLens Magnifier with Interchangeable 8x Lens from Carson Optical is an excellent accessory to have around when you're doing close-up work for crafts or even reading. The simple, flip-style allows you to interchange the lens quickly and efficiently. The Oculens attaches to most eyeglass frames.

Once attached, the interchangeable 5x and 8x lenses can be used to examine objects very close up without needed to hand-hold the magnifier
Simply flip down and move the fully adjustable lens to get the best view possible when in use
When no longer needed, simply flip up the magnifier and it will be out of the way

gets the job done

I bought this a while ago. I use the stronger lens. After use, I pack it away and take off the lens, and it is not that difficult to get the lens on and off. I like that it can be turned around 360 degrees. I use this a lot for removing ticks. Advantages of using this product are that it sits good and is not wobbly and most of all it frees up both hands. This product gets the job done.

Not so easy to change lenses

I bought it for my mom hoping that it will help her to read a newspaper, but it's not really helpful for this purpose. Also, to change lenses is quite a challenge, my mom will never be able to do it herself. I bought 3 kits, only one of them looked close to have an original wrap. Second and third boxes were opened, and in one of the boxes the lens holder was broken. I was pretty much disappointed when I saw that.
