I use this diffuser on stage lights in a Theatre. It works perfectly for diffusing the light onto backdrops and it can be used in combination with other color gels. It effectively doubles the light spread of a standard 10 Fresnel light and helps to eliminate bright spots. I have used every gell brand over the years and nothing compares to the quality and durability of Rosco gels. They are now the ONLY brand I buy.
