I'm having trouble keeping it tight enough from pivoting on my stand. It's a large stand. But I haven't seen complaints on that. What am I doing wrong?
The boom arm has a support weigh of no more than 4 lbs. If you are over that weight it will slip. If lights are less than 4 lbs it could be that the stand diameter is too small and so the swivel clamp cannot tighten down enough.If those are not the issues it is best to come in to chat or call.

Will this work with the Einstein E640 used with a beauty dish or will I need something more sturdy?
I have an Einstein and beauty dish, and it will support them, although it does flex quite a bit. If you need to move your setup around a lot, you might be happier with a sturdier arrangement.
