Rated 5 out of 5 by from Are You Really Going to Create A Fuss About $ Nikon Battery when using Professional Nikon Cameras? I use D3x cameras (plural), even if you buy one on the internet, the camera will cost around $ Used, $ New.$for a New Nikon reliable, Li-I protected battery and not worry if your going to have problems using a off brand battery. I don't want to end up in Indonesia, 27 hour flight time and find out my batteries are bad. Some things are just as good and even better than Nikon, Lens Caps, Straps, etc. But when you want RELIABLE POWER, there nothing that runs with NIKON cell, period. Save your money, don't eat sushi for one night, that will save you about the cost of this battery ;>

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wish to have it earlier Bought MB-D10 for more than a year before I had chance to consider to use the EN-EL4a. I like it and wish that I had it earlier. I don't have to charge 8 AA batteries overnight anymore. I did not understand why it did not come with the mounting part and I had to spend another $35 to purchase it separately. Does anyone use this battery without the mounting part BL-3? If not, why put together and sale them same time? It is something like selling you a car but you will have to purchase a steerwheel separately in order to drive - not sure what is the idea of design here. Good thing is that it just works and works perfect with my MB-D10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Battery! I have never had a problem with battery life in my Nikon D200 and D300. I always got around 800-1000 shots on a single charge (EN-EL3e) BUT after upgrading my D300 with the MB-D10 grip I can not believe how many shots I get on a single charge. I got 1500 shots and only used 40% of the battery, it was also cold. Great Nikon product. Buy 2!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great battery I decided to get this battery for my Nikon D700 when I found AA rechargeable NiMHs were unreliable in keeping their charge in order to maintain 8 fps. With this battery, although a bit pricey - and uses its own proprietary charger which is more $ - it is worth its price for shooting especially sports when you might need that speed. So far I have also found that it holds the charge. If sports shooting is in the cards often, it's a nice accessory to have to ensure the 8 fps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well ! I have a Nikon D700 camera with the MB-D10 grip. Using the standard batteries I can get a good 1000-1200 shots per battery, however, with the EN-EL4a battery, that goes to over 2500 shots per charge. When shooting weddings, all that means is that I get to worry about one thing less... and the added feature of having shooting speeds of 8FPS is kinda nice, not that I ever really need it. Downsides are that with a Nikon D700, you need to purchase the Nikon EN-EL4a battery charger and the BL-3 Battery Chamber Cover (you obviously also need the MB-D10 battery grip too!), which makes this one VERY expensive battery!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best battery I have hever had I love the battery life, I have never had a battery that lasts as long, I also love that it is interchangeable and can work with other Nikon cameras. It charges fast and lasts long. With my old camera, I would have to bring the charger to the shoot with me and start charging as soon as the first battery died and I would usually go through 2 or three batteries. This one battery will often last me a week or more. Or one full day of extensive shooting. I wish the speedlights could use the same battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You Get What You Pay For! It's a battery... But NOT all batteries are the same! You get what you pay for and that is certainly true with batteries, all kinds. When I bought my Nikon D2X, I received an extra battery as part of the package. Naturally, it was not a Nikon, and that battery only lasted half the time and started losing it holding way before the Nikon battery started to deteriorate with use and age. I despise wasting money on third party batteries so I will continue to use the manufacturers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should've gotten this years ago I almost always use the grip on my D700 and this battery enables me to shoot longer and get the coveted 8fps for sports. I also have the D800 but as a freelancer shooting sports and editorial work, it's indispensable. Remember you can also grt the high frame rate even with no battery in the camera itself. About to shoot a 1000 Mile Dog Sled Race (Yukon Quest). The ability to easily remove the battery, keep it warm and then slap it in when the action starts Highly recommended.
