As Nikon has discontinued their EN-EL4a battery, the Watson version of the same meets all my needs and has not been disappointing. Ability to be charged in Nikon's Quick Charger MH-22 is a big plus. Highly recommended.

The answer to your question is no this battery cannot be calibrated I called Watson and they supplied with this answer. When I bought this battery it was only for a backup I don't use it full time, every so often I will recharge it. It fills the need for what I needed and the price was right.
