Museo 09898 reviews

MAX Archival Fine Art Paper for Digital Printing (17" x 50', One Roll) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent reproduction I tested a number of papers for a black and white fine art series I shot that was showing in a couple of galleries. This paper color was a great middle (not too blue, not too yellow) and had excellent DMAX and detail. The tooth is enough to provide some texture without getting in the way of fine details like a canvas would. I love the results and it's a good thick paper for hanging. I have not printed color on it, but the B&W reproductions are beautiful. The drawbacks to the paper are that it wasn't rolled very consistently on the spool, so there was a little variance in how it came off. This resulted in the edges of the paper being slightly folded. It is also slightly oversized, requiring a trim of 1/8 to have it fit in a gallery frame (the 24 paper). The paper also has a tremendous curl to it, and I had to back roll it to take the curl out for mounting and framing. This resulted in some fine variances in the paper from the process. I also had a two-foot section that had been creased due to poor rolling on the spool (which was a bit frustrating). All that said, clearly this is a fine material that has some hand-crafted quality variances that lead to certain quirks. I'll continue to use it for this series as it reproduces it amazingly. But I'll investigate potential new papers for other series in the future. But will still keep a roll on hand!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from museo Max I've been making prints for an upcoming exhibition at Colgate University. I used it for Black & White prints and managed to achieve rich nuanced tonalities.
