discWelder Chrome II from Minnetonka Software is a professional high-resolution DVD-Audio creation program. The software imports all linear PCM formats supported in the DVD-A specification, including non-encoded/uncompressed surround files. These can consist of up to six-channels of 24-bit, 48kHz audio, and/or high-resolution stereo 24-bit, up to 192kHz audio. Surround and stereo tracks may be used on the same disc, as well as different bit- and sample-rate tracks.
Additionally, the software offers an extensive feature set for the production of highly interactive DVD Audio discs, including MLP import, exclusive "gapless" PCM playback, and "gapless" MLP playback. User-defined menu graphics can be created, along with a hierarchy of multiple selections menus, slide show graphics to accompany audio tracks, DLT output, and video_ts import for "hybrid" DVD-A / DVD-V formatting capability.
