I picked up the latest version of the Morris slave flash after my old stopped working. Other than being a little pricey, its does what its supposed to do.

Slave Flash review

We use the slave flash to light a standard white box background for protrait photography. The fast 2-3 second recycle time is very good. Rarely do we need to retake a photo due to delayed flash response. We have 4 photographers and each one perfers to use the flash box with the faster recycle rate. Although the flash is almost twice the cost of a slower slave, the convenience of not needing to retake as many shots makes it worth the additional investment
